Strawberry Woman’s Generosity is Unmatched
Cindy Condit, a resident of Strawberry, is a supporter of the annual Barbie Hensler Memorial Toy Run. In fact, she is the largest individual contributor year after year. This year she filled not 1, but 2 Toy Collection Boxes to overflowing ensuring a very Merry Christmas for many rim country children.
Cindy began her tradition of donating toys to the various toy runs 30 years ago and has instilled that tradition in her children who now carry it on in Phoenix. When asked why she does it, she simply smiles and says “It makes me happy”!
While far from the only individual to support the annual toy drive, now in its 21st year, she outdoes herself every year. She is able to provide so many toys because she begins looking for deals immediately after Christmas, and continues after each holiday all year long.
The Barbie Hensler Memorial Toy Run is an annual event put on by local businesses and the Moose Lodge in Star Valley. Originally started by Barbie Hensler, co-founder of the High-Country Chapter of ABATE of Arizona, a motorcycle Rights and Safety organization, the event continues to honor her name each.
